“Everything comes to an end”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since 31.8.26, S\u00e4gi AG has been history. The company was founded over 75 years ago under the name Max S\u00e4gesser and became S\u00e4gi AG in 1982. Over the years, the company produced handicrafts for wood and metal goods. In the 60s, wrought-iron hat covers with mirrors and umbrella stands, wine racks, candlesticks, fondue rechauds and fireplace accessories were among the bestsellers. In the wood sector, the range was supplemented by bread boards, fondue carousels, carving boards and salad bowls in teak.<\/p>\n

But the trend towards rustic wrought iron articles subsided markedly with the 80s and through the management of the second generation with Peter S\u00e4gesser, the product range changed massively in some cases and new design and materials shaped the appearance of the products. Especially in the fireplace accessories sector, the name S\u00e4gi was able to gain a firm place in the national and international market.<\/p>\n

As a complementary raw material, a ceramic line for the kitchen was added, which is still an eye-catcher in many kitchens today.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, in recent years, a large number of long-standing household businesses have had to close their doors due to succession problems or economic reasons. The retail trade was heavily challenged by the growing Internet trade. For S\u00e4gi, the increasing decline in fireplace construction in apartments was particularly noticeable, which ultimately contributed to the discontinuation of production and ultimately to say goodbye to the market altogether.<\/p>\n

This also marks the end of the history of S\u00e4gi AG, whose products were part of the standard range in numerous specialist shops for many years and found their place in many households.<\/p>\n
